Here is an overview of the area:
We are going to be texturing this area here:
The first step is to dab down little splotches of Grass_09 at a 70% Pressure with the small brush like so... light clicks of the mouse around the map:
Next... dab down a little Grass_19 at the same pressure with the small brush... Just dot it down, you do not want to cover it, you just want to dot over the Grass_09 to a certain extent:
Ok, now that you have the area dotted with both Grass_09 and Grass_19... now you want to cover it over with Grass_12, not necessarily entirely, but the idea here is that the under layers of the first two will now create a varying shade of the 3rd Grass like so:
Now go into the terrain side... and select the color button. Pick the dark green so that we can make the grass texturing a deep emerald green of a summer field:
Use the Medium Brush and set the pressure to 3%. You don't want too much or it will overdo it. Use light clicks of the mouse to paint over the top of the textures until they turn it a deeper green color.:
Ok now you have to smooth it out a bit so the textures aren't so choppy. So with a Medium brush... set to 20% pressure now (previously you were using 70%)... click a few times over the area between the light and darker textures to blend in the textures a little bit
Next set the brush back to small and set the pressure back to 70% and grab the Grass_01 (It's actually grassy rocks) texture... and dot the landscape with some rocks in various places like so:
The final picture from the players perspective looks like this:
The view from the Bridge itself will come out like this:
The before picture:
And the after picture:
Now, I'm sure there are many ways to do this and many people will have their own little tricks, but this may help some who have no Idea of where to start or how to do things.
